FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION TESTING AND MAINTENANCE
It is crucial that your fire alarm system is designed to meet the specific needs of your company.
There are many different types of systems, but the most common ones are :
- Non-Addressable Systems - These are best suited to smaller buildings and usually consist of up to 35 devices.
- Addressable Systems - These are usually found in larger buildings and are capable of complex programming to provide a wide range of applications, e.g. ventilation system shut - down, gas shut - down and the closing of fire doors in corridors.
- Radio Systems - We will usually suggest this type of system where wiring is not allowed such as listed buildings, churches or stately homes, or anywhere where cable running would be aesthetically displeasing.
Each system is designed in accordance with British Standard 5839. Such as :
- Category M
- Category L
- Category L1, L2, L3, L4, L5
- Category P
- Category P1
- Category P2
Our system designers will recommend the correct system to suit your needs. Please call us for a free quotation and survey.
INSTALLATION
We fit all of our fire alarm systems in accordance with British Standard 5839, all equipment is of the highest quality and is designed to minimise the risk of false alarm. Your company will be provided with a detailed specification and layout of the system proposed.
COMMISSIONING & HANDOVER
Before we hand over the completed fire alarm system, the system is commissioned in accordance with British Standard 5839 to ensure that every aspect of the installation is correct and is as per design. The system will be fully tested and the customer will be shown how to operate the system if required.
We will then issue all of the necessary commissioning certificates, log book and operating manual. A contact telephone number is placed on the front of the panel for our 24 hours a day, 7 days a week emergency helpline.
